Are you passionate about supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional growth? Amergis Educational Staffing is partnering with Hingham Public Schools to hire a School Counselor for the 2025–2026 school year!
Position Overview
+ Location: Hingham, MA
+ Start Date: ASAP
+ Schedule: Monday–Friday, school hours
+ Duration: Full 2025–2026 School Year
+ Pay Rate: Competitive, based on experience
What You'll Do
+ Provide individual and group counseling to middle school students
+ Support students’ academic planning, social-emotional development, and career awareness
+ Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create a positive school climate
+ Assist with crisis intervention and conflict resolution
+ Implement programs that promote mental health and well-being
Who We're Looking For
+ Licensed School Counselor in Massachusetts
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills
+ Experience working with adolescents in educational settings
+ Ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
+ Knowledge of social-emotional learning (SEL) strategies and resources
Requirements
+ Active MA School Counselor License
+ Master’s degree in School Counseling or related field
+ Previous experience in a middle school setting preferred
+ Familiarity with IEPs and 504 plans a plus

Minimum Requirements:
+ Licensing/Certification according to state/facility/contract requirement
+ The Counselor may be required to have an Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree or Masters in Psychology, Addictions, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, or some other Human Development major per state, contract and/or facility guidelines.
+ Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
