    Special Education Teacher (SPED) | School-Based | Marysville, WA | $40/hr Local | 29-Week Contract

     

    Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide quality services to students in kindergarten through grade 12. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, the SPED Teacher will deliver instruction, tutorial assistance, and collaborate with general education staff to support student success.

    Position Overview

    + Location: Marysville, WA (Elementary classroom, complex needs)

    + Start Date: December 1, 2025

    + Duration: 29 weeks (remainder of school year)

    + Schedule: Monday–Friday, 37.5 student contact hours per week

    + Openings: 1 position available

    + Pay Rate: $40/hr local

    Responsibilities

    + Provide direct instruction and support to special education students (K–12)

    + Participate in team planning and implementation of student programs

    + Deliver individualized instruction, tutorial assistance, and consultation with general education staff

    + Document services and ensure compliance with district and professional standards

    + Collaborate with parents, staff, and administrators to promote student achievement

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred

    + Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement required

    + Minimum of one year teaching experience preferred

    + State Teacher Certification: Elementary, Secondary, and Special Education preferred

    + Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

    + Compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Current CPR, TB screening, and health certificate (if applicable)

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
