    Job Skills / Requirements

     

    2nd Shift

     

    Monday-Friday

     

    3:00pm-11:00pm

     

    Pay Rate: $19.00/hr

     

    * 3+ years of military, armed security or law enforcement*

    + State of TN Armed Security Guard license

    + Armed security officer (must pass Armed training, have valid pistol permit)

    + Must have a clean criminal background. Background checks are conducted on all employees prior to employment with SEI.

    + Must be able to pass a drug test.

    Job Description:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Must have or obtain a Valid Security License as required by the state licensing authority.

    • Must have a valid driver’s license from your state of residence.

    • Special qualifications:

    + Must be 21+ years old.

    + Must pass Armed training and hold a valid pistol permit.

    + Driving post: must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Security Operations

    + Perform regular patrols to enhance safety and identify security concerns.

    + Monitor access points, verify IDs and credentials.

    + Enforce procedures per Security Post Instructions.

    • Incident Response & Reporting

    + Respond swiftly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocol.

    + Maintain accurate logs of activities and observations.

    + Execute routine tasks: locking/unlocking doors, managing security systems, and monitoring surveillance.

    • Customer Service & Professionalism

    + Assist visitors and employees, addressing concerns professionally.

    + Enforce SEI and Client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking).

    + Maintain a clean, pressed uniform and professional appearance.

    Required Skills & Abilities:

    • Minimum Required:

    + Ability to work in fast-paced, high-stress environments.

    + Availability to work weekends.

    + Strong situational awareness and curiosity.

    + Basic computer skills; able to use a tablet for reporting.

    • Preferred:

    + Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

    Minimum Physical Requirements:

    • Stand for at least 1 hour without support or break

    • Sit for at least 1 hour without break

    • Walk at least ½ mile without stopping

    Education & Experience:

    + Minimum:

    + Education: HS Diploma or equivalent

    + 3+ years military, armed security or law enforcement

    + Preferred:

    + Education: HS Diploma or equivalent

    + Experience: 1+ years of verifiable security, military or law enforcement experience.
