The Manager, Program Management, is responsible for providing cross-functional leadership to ensure the success of complex projects. Leading a team of Program Managers, the manager will identify and mitigate risks, ensure profitability of projects and champion customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
+ Directly manage a team of program managers, ensuring that project activities, milestones and deliverables are well planned
+ Foster good communication and relationships with other departments to fulfill client deliverables on-time; influencing those that are not direct reports
+ Utilize Power BI dashboards (or similar systems) to monitor project profitability, ensuring target margins are met
+ Ensure Planisware (or similar system), used to create Gantt timelines, risk registers and issue logs for client projects, is up-to-date and correct and utilize the system to assess Portfolio metrics, such as on time delivery
+ Work with departmental leads to ensure optimal capacity and project planning, implementing systems-based project management processes where appropriate
+ Spend time with on-site visitors and participate in meetings with potential and current clients
+ Assign new contracts and/or customers to team members, maintaining workload schedules and projections
+ Management of customer projects where required, ensuring a consistent approach through utilization of approved templates and process flows
+ Coach the PM team in addition to other groups as appropriate to build talent across the department/site
+ Identify and correct issues that hinder the function and success of the Program Managers and their projects; proactively seek out and recommend process improvements
+ Work with departmental leaders to advance areas which are highlighted for process improvements
+ Ensure timely escalation of potential issues and proposed solutions to line manager and Site Head as appropriate
+ Develop site project forecasts
+ Direct and establish the departmental objectives of the Program Management team
+ Work as a customer advocate, balancing the needs of the customer with those of the business, as well as ensuring regular and open communications with the customer
+ Contribute to Net Promoter Score (customer satisfaction) survey process for the biologics division and drive improvements in this metric
Qualifications
+ BA/BS Degree in bioscience field or related study and a minimum of
+ 5 years of relevant related work experience, plus 2 years in a team leadership role of professional level individual contributors.
+ OR
+ MA/MS Degree in bioscience field or related study and a minimum of
+ 3 years of relevant related work experience, plus 2 years in a team leadership role of professional level individual contributors.
Other Qualifications
+ Must pass a background check
+ Must pass a drug screen
+ May be required to pass Occupational Health Screening
Preferred
+ Advanced degree in bioscience field or related study
+ Experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry
+ Experience in a CDMO
Pay Range: $124,000/yr. - $154,744/yr.
Education, experience, location and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
