The Louisiana Special School District (LSSD) is an education service agency who provides services to the Louisiana Special Schools (Louisiana School for the Deaf, Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired and Special School Programs). The schools provide educational opportunities to students with low-incidence disabilities and a variety of unique needs.

We’re looking for a skilled and reliableMechanic 3to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic abilities, experience with both routine maintenance and complex repairs, and a commitment to delivering honest, high-quality service. If you’re detail-oriented, safety-focused, and passionate about helping customers keep their vehicles running smoothly, we’d love to hear from you.

Minimum Qualifications

Three years of experience or training as a mechanic.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

+ Oil changes

+ Get fleet vehicles ready for trips.

+ Diagnose and repair/replace engine components (gas and diesel).

+ Preventive maintenance of heavy equipment and lawn equipment.

+ Repair flat tires

Position-Specific Details:

Appointment Type: Probational

Work Schedule : Typically, work hours are 8:00 am-4:30 pm Monday - Friday. Flexible work schedules may be available after meeting certain criteria and is dependent upon the position for which you are applying.
