Job Overview

Lake City Care Center TCU/LTC is hiring a **Summer** **Nurse Intern 2026.** This paid position is for nursing students graduating with an ADN, BSN, or entry level masters RN degree between Dec. 2026- Sept. 2027. Come immerse yourself in the growing field of aging services (Transitional Care/Long Term Care units) at our established skilled nursing facility in Lake City, Minnesota. Schedule is 12 hour, day shifts (6:30 am-7:00pm) 56-64 hours (4-5 shifts) in two weeks, M-F and one weekend during the summer will be required, Starts May 18-19 and continues May 26-Aug 7, 2026

Ebenezer's **2026 Nurse Internship** program provides an individualized educational experience, caring for adults patients, and is tailored to meet your nursing career goals. You will be mentored one-on-one with registered nurses to gain hands-on nursing RN experience. The program provides opportunities to enhance your technical, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills. In addition to learning RN skills, the intern will observe other nursing roles and interdisciplinary team members. Gain confidence in providing patient cares and earn preferential status for employment as RN with Ebenezer, upon graduation. * There will be opportunities to move into a casual/part-time schedule as an caregiver, while you complete your nursing degree.

Lake City Care Center is nestled near picturesque Lake Pepin in Southeast MN, near Red Wing. As part of the esteemed Mayo Clinic Health System our skilled nursing facility is managed by Ebenezer, Minnesota's largest senior living operator with a century-long commitment to exceptional service for older adults. Nurse Intern responsibilities

+ Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.

+ Develops an individualized nursing plan of care.

+ Manages Medications and performs treatments

+ Implements nursing interventions based on the plan of care.

+ Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.

+ Uses effective education and communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.

+ Admissions and Discharges

Required Qualifications

+ Strong desire to become a RN with Ebenezer, ideally Lake City TCU LTC Care Center, upon graduation. We offer student loan repayment along with a generous benefits package.

+ Currently enrolled in a ADN, BSN, Entry level masters RN program and graduating between Dec 2026- Sept 2027

+ Enroll, complete, and pass an summer 2026 internship course at a Minnesota based school of nursing

+ Complete one nursing clinical rotation by start date of nurse internship

+ Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) Upon Hire

+ Able to work with a diverse population of patients and coworkers including subacute/geriatric

Preferred Qualifications

+ GPA of 3.0 or higher

+ work experience in healthcare/senior care setting
