Description
The Quality Management Coordinator will fulfill the responsibility to all people supported at The Arc Mid-Hudson, by ensuring that allegations of Abuse/Neglect, Significant Incidents and Serious and Minor Notable Occurrences are investigated and documented within the guidelines set forth by the NYS Justice Center.
Specific responsibilities include:
+ To be knowledgeable in the regulations governing incident management (Part 624 and 625) and be a resource to Agency staff.
+ To perform impartial investigations of designated incidents (Abuse/Neglect, Significant Incidents, Serious and Minor Notables) or sensitive situations.
+ To be knowledgeable in conducting investigations and proficient in interviewing potential witnesses, victims, etc.
+ To be able to write a detailed investigative report and to be able to present findings to the Incident Closeout and Incident Review committees.
+ Become proficient with the Incident Report and Management Application (IRMA) System.
+ Become proficient in the Web Submission of Investigation Reports (WSIR) Data Entry System.
+ Assist the Justice Center with investigations and collaborate with Justice Center Investigators.
+ To attend Incident Review Committee meetings and assist in committee deliberations.
+ To assist with The Arc Mid-Hudson Quality Review and Improvement processes.
+ To participate in the Agency's Human Rights Committee processes.
+ Participate in the Agency’s Guardianship Program
+ Review all Agency Minor Notable Reports from the programs to assure completion and all the information is attached to the Incident Report.
+ To provide specialized trainings to Agency Staff in areas related to Quality Management and Incident Reporting.
A Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of one (1) year experience in Human Services or a related field, or an Associate’s Degree and three (3) years’ experience working in Human Services or a related field, is required.
HOURS: 40/Monday through Friday/9:00 am to 5:00 pm/must be flexible
Starting salary: $60,405.80 per year
Minimum Requirements
+ A Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of one (1) year experience in Human Services or a related field, or an Associate’s Degree and three (3) years’ experience working in Human Services or a related field, is required.
+ Experience conducting investigations is a plus
