    Are you a Civil CAD Technician, Civil Drafter, CAD Designer, or Transportation CAD Technician looking for your next opportunity? Fisher Associates is looking for a CAD Technician. In this role, you’ll play a key role in transforming engineering concepts into the infrastructure that keeps communities moving. Working closely with civil engineers and design teams, you’ll create and refine detailed AutoCAD and Civil 3D drawings and models for roads, highways, bridges, sidewalks, trails, and traffic signal systems. Your precision, collaboration, and technical expertise will help ensure every project is delivered accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with design standards and specifications.

    What You’ll Do as a CAD Technician

     

    + Complete assigned drafting and design tasks on time and within project scope, budget, and schedule.

    + Collaborate with civil engineers, project managers, and design staff to produce coordinated, accurate, and high-quality design layouts and construction documents.

    + Develop and update detailed CAD drawings and 3D models for transportation and infrastructure projects, including roads, highways, bridges, sidewalks, trails, and traffic signal systems.

    + Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related design software to create figures, plans, and technical drawings from sketches, notes, and engineering data.

    + Review and revise design drawings to incorporate feedback, resolve design conflicts, and ensure consistency across all deliverables.

    + Verify accuracy, quality, and adherence to CAD standards, engineering specifications, and applicable DOT and municipal design requirements.

    Salary Range$24-$31 hourly

    Requirements

    What You Bring (Qualifications)

     

    + Associate degree in Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field.

    + 0–5 years of experience as a CAD Technician, Civil CAD Technician, CAD Designer, or Civil Drafter; experience in construction or surveying technology is a plus.

    + Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D; MicroStation highly preferred.
