CastleGate Forwarding (CGF) is a rapidly growing freight forwarding start-up within Wayfair, moving containers across the globe to Wayfair’s shelves and elsewhere. We offer a full suite of shipping services (Asia consolidation, ocean freight, drayage, customs brokerage, cargo insurance, etc.) that aims to provide Wayfair suppliers with competitive and convenient logistics solutions.
The CGF Product role is central to Wayfair’s mission to provide world-class freight forwarding solutions, including new and improved freight service offerings. This role will define and deliver the product vision, roadmap, and execution strategy for CGF globally, bridging customer insights, operational feedback, and technical execution. You will shape new freight products, optimize existing offerings, and ensure that every launch creates measurable value for customers and revenue impact for Wayfair.
What You’ll Do
+ Define and maintain the freight forwarding product vision, roadmap, and strategy for CGF products globally to align with CGF freight forwarding supplier expectations and revenue targets.
+ Analyze global logistics market trends, customer specific needs, and competitive offerings to inform product direction. You will need to understand the freight forwarding market offerings, define and implement services and products needed by CGF to build a differentiated competitive advantage.
+ Establish success metrics for existing and new products and ensure they align with Wayfair’s growth priorities and revenue expectations.
+ Collaborate with Sales and Service to collect Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback and translate customer needs into actionable product requirements.
+ Pilot and refine new freight forwarding product features to drive adoption, automation, and retention.
+ Partner with Tech, Engineering, Legal and Operations to prioritize features and releases and to ensure cross-functional launch readiness, including collateral, playbooks, and training.
+ Deliver adoption, upsell, and cross-sell motions through structured GTM execution.
+ Act as a bridge across Sales, Service, Operations, and Tech to ensure execution alignment.
+ Manage feature feedback loops, user acceptance testing, and iterative improvements.
+ Partner with leadership on semi-annual tech roadmap planning and delivery.
What You’ll Need
+ 5+ years in product management, strategy, or related commercial/tech roles, especially related to freight forwarding, logistics, or SaaS product environments.
+ Experience defining product strategy and delivering across a global scope.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with comfort in data-driven decisions.
+ Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
+ Excellent written/verbal communication; ability to distill complexity into clarity.
