Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and self-driven **Chef Manager** to lead a made-to-order corporate dining café. This is a solo-operator position responsible for all culinary production, guest service, and day-to-day café operations. The ideal candidate brings strong culinary expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering wellness focused, high-quality guest experience.
This account features a modern pre-order model, like a Wawa-style service environment, with all menu items prepared to order via walk-up and online guest requests.
Key Responsibilities:
Culinary Leadership & Menu Execution
• Prepare and execute all menu offerings, including:
o Weekly featured salad and sandwiches.
o Daily soup, breakfast specials and made-to-order items based on guest pre-orders.
• Maintain a wellness-oriented and diverse menu aligned with client expectations.
• Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
Operational Management
• Oversee all day-to-day café operations as a sole operator.
• Manage ordering, inventory control, product rotation, and vendor relationships.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and corporate standards.
• Utilize the daily café closure (10:00 AM–10:30 AM) for break and/or lunch shift reset.
Guest Experience & Service
• Deliver excellent customer service to corporate guests.
• Maintain an organized, efficient workspace to support fast-paced made-to-order operations.
• Communicate effectively with clients and guests, ensuring needs and feedback are addressed.
Administrative Duties
• Manage all operational documentation, including production records, temperature logs, and ordering reports.
• Monitor budget guidelines consistent with fee-based account parameters (no P&L responsibilities).
• Coordinate with leadership on menu updates, promotions, and program enhancements.
Desired Qualifications:
• 3+ years of culinary experience, preferably in corporate dining or made-to-order environments.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a kitchen setting.
• Strong culinary skills with the ability to design and execute diverse, wellness-focused menus.
• Ability to operate independently and manage all aspects of café operations.
• Knowledge of food safety standards (ServSafe certification required or obtained upon hire).
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with pre-order or kiosk-driven foodservice models.
• Background in café-style or fast-casual made-to-order environments.
• Familiarity with corporate dining standards and client-facing service.
