Job Description

Develop and refine product designs using SolidWorks, ensuring manufacturability and compliance with engineering standards. Create and validate tooling and fixturing solutions for production processes, applying proper dimensions and tolerancing techniques. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support NPI projects, from concept through production launch, ensuring smooth transition to manufacturing. Partner with technicians to generate clear work instructions, PowerPoint presentations, and training materials for assembly and production processes. Review and optimize designs for cost, quality, and efficiency; troubleshoot manufacturing issues and propose design improvements. Communicate with suppliers, manufacturing engineers, and quality teams to ensure alignment on design intent and production requirements.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years designing for manufacturing products

Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Experience designing in SolidWorks

Experience with tooling, fixturing, dimensions and tolerancing, and well rounded product NPIs

Work instructions - working with technicians to generate powerpoints and trainings
