Now Hiring: Field Service Engineer III – Northeast Region (Albany/Latham, NY)

Are you a hands-on technical expert who thrives in the field? Join our team as a Field Service Engineer III, where you'll play a pivotal role in supporting water treatment operations across the Northeast. From programming advanced control systems to solving complex electrical and instrumentation challenges, this role offers variety, impact, and innovation.

What You’ll Do

• Lead programming and optimization of PLC, VFD, and MCP systems

• Maintain and troubleshoot Reverse Osmosis and Water Filtration equipment

• Diagnose and resolve Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) issues

• Recommend and implement controls narrative improvements

• Install and configure electrical components

• Address and resolve production-related issues

• Ensure safety and environmental compliance

• Provide expert technical support to internal teams and clients

• Maintain detailed documentation and prepare performance reports

What You Bring

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in controls programming and E&I systems

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred) or equivalent technical experience

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in data analysis and simulation tools

• Familiarity with physical-chemical water treatment systems

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Travel & Perks

• Travel up to 50%, typically home on weekends

The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.  At Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
