• Onsite Systems Engineer

    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking to bring on a Systems Engineer to sit onsite 3x a week in NY to help support an asset management client. This person will be responsible for Infrastructure design and implementation, technical support & issue resolutions, incident & problem management, change management deployment and performance monitoring. In addition, they also need to ensure that technology solutions comply with security policies, standards & regulatory requirements and assist in security assessments & audits. This person will need to have great documentation skills and have experience collaborating with vendors & third-party suppliers.

    Skills and Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, MCSA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) preferred.

    • 3-5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering and technical support roles, with hands-on expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting technology infrastructure solutions in a global enterprise environment.

    • Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.

    • Proficiency in server and storage technologies, virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud computing services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

    • Experience with infrastructure monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Splunk) and incident management systems (e.g., Ivanti Service Manager, JIRA).

    • Familiarity with security principles, best practices, and regulatory requirements relevant to technology infrastructure, such as GDPR, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, etc.

    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with end-users, stakeholders, and team members across diverse cultural backgrounds.

    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues independently and collaboratively.

    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality. n/a
