Job Description
Day to Day:
The Process Development Engineer III will play a hands-on, innovation-driven role supporting next-generation technologies for the WATCHMAN device. This individual will be owning critical processes, equipment, and inspection methods, while driving improvements that reduce reliance on Human Visual Inspection (HVI). With a strong foundation in manufacturing engineering and cross-functional collaboration, they’ll be expected to influence design specifications, develop complex assembly and inspection capabilities, and guide projects from concept through commercial launch. Clear communication with R&D, Equipment Engineering, and Design Assurance is essential, along with the ability to document validation strategies, summarize technical data, and mentor junior team members. Success in this role requires a proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for driving scalable, high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment. We can pay between $80 -$90 per hour.

Skills and Requirements
Technical Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or relevant technical field
• Minimum of 3-4 4-5 years of professional experience relevant to this role
• Prior experience in medical device or other regulated industry
• Substantial experience with PDP and PVV deliverables, including Gage R&R, PCR, PRA, TMV's
• Experience bringing new equipment and inspections online and to a commercial state.
Comfortable being in a fast paced, hands on, dynamic environment. Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Demonstrated cross functional collaboration and influence in a technical environment
• Experience with Automated Inspection and/or Assembly Equipment
• Demonstrated understanding of problem solving and root cause investigations
• Expertise in New Product Development and/or Operations
• Experience with Process Verification and Validation such as TMVs and OQ/PQs
• Experience with Nitinol manufacturing
• Demonstrated understanding and usage of statistics to drive improvements
• Strong written and verbal communication, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.
