• Remote - Global Network Engineer

    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking for a Global Network Manager to support their 24x7 operations of their European Data Center including the design, implementation of organizations global foundational IT Infrastructures (data centers, hybrid, and cloud workloads) and related core IT assets. This position ensures that the infrastructure is robust, scalable and aligned with the business objectives while optimizing cost, performance, reliability and security for group services as well as locally deployed solutions

    Job Responsibilities

    • Deliver and maintain hybrid cloud infrastructure services and patterns provided by group as a global service

    • Facilitate continual adoption/migration to group infrastructure services

    • Interface with technical and application teams/providers/partners (internal and external) across the globe to ensure that we deliver reliable and efficient IT operations

    • Participate in the operational support of the infrastructure; including crisis, incident management and problem management

    • Ensure global/local governance, reporting and compliance is in place for responsible services. This includes establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of infrastructure operations and drive improvement

    Skills and Requirements

    • 10+ years of experience working in an IT environment

    • 8-10 years of experience with Cisco Meraki

    • 8-10 years of hands on Firewall experience (Fortinet is preferred)

    • Cloud Networking experience (Azure is preferred) in a Data Center

    • In-depth knowledge of infrastructure technologies including networking, virtualization, operation systems knowledge of Linux, Windows & AS400 operating systems

    • Experience with Agile Methodologies

    • Experience mentoring other junior network engineers

    • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field -Experience managing other junior Network Architects
