Radiology Technologist/Clinical Assistant

Position Summary: Performs technical aspects of radiography that ultimately lead to completed radiographic procedures with complete clinical history. Operates radiological equipment in a filmless environment, administering medical x-rays on injured and/or sick patients as directed by physicians following accepted procedures and policies. Checks the technical aspects of radiographs to determine the exactness of position and technique, assists radiologists as needed, prepares study for interpretation, and provides quality patient care. Assists in the day-to-day operations of The Urgent Care/ crossed trained as a Clinical Assistant.
Qualifications: A. Education: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) and certified by the state of Texas, Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT).
B. Training and Experience: One (1) year of hospital experience is preferred but not required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification thru the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
