About The Role:
As a CBRE Union Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for supervising the daily operations and maintenance of building systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. You will guide and support your team, lead projects, and collaborate with various collaborators to achieve operational excellence.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventative maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
What You'll Do:
+ Supervise and inspect the work performed by engineering staff. Ensure that work is complete, equipment is fully functional, and client space is in prime working condition.
+ Review monthly service request summaries to identify and address recurrent operational problems.
+ Formulate and implement a preventative maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life.
+ Inspect building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure the operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by the client.
+ Review assigned work orders. Estimate time and materials needed to complete repairs. Maintain an inventory of adequate supplies and tools and order necessary materials.
+ Assist team with complex repairs, emergency, and preventative maintenance.
+ Apply advanced knowledge to seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual and department objectives.
+ Showcase expertise in own job subject area and in-depth knowledge of other job fields within the organization function.
+ Mentor others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function.
+ Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Anticipate potential objections and persuade others, often at senior levels and of divergent interest, to adopt a different point of view.
+ Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-discipline teams. Work is guided by functional policies which impact the design of procedures and policies.
+ Contribute to new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans in support of achieving functional goals.
+ Communicate difficult and complex ideas with the ability to influence.

+ High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
+ Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
+ Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mentality.
+ Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
+ Ability to impact a range of customer, operation, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.
+ Capability to work within broad guidelines and policies.
+ Proficiency in coaching others and sharing in-depth knowledge of own job field and broad knowledge of several job subject areas within the function.
+ Skill in leading by example and modeling behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Ability to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
