The CBRE Energy and Renewables team is seeking a Financial Analyst to support our growing advisory practice across M&A, tax equity, capital markets offerings, and PPA transactions. This role combines rigorous financial modeling with strategic analysis to deliver sophisticated advisory services to corporate clients and renewable energy developers. We are looking for an analytically driven professional with investment banking or consulting experience who can thrive within a dynamic, start-up culture that values innovation and agility.

This position offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to high-impact projects.

    What You’ll Do:

+ **Financial Modeling and Analysis** : Build and maintain complex financial models for renewable energy projects, including M&A valuation models, discounted cash flow analyses, project valuation, capital markets analyses, tax equity structures, and PPA economics; conduct sensitivity analyses and scenario planning to inform client recommendations.

+ **Transaction Support** : Support structuring and execution of renewable energy transactions, including M&A advisory engagements, debt and equity financing arrangements, tax equity investments, and virtual and physical power purchase agreements (VPPAs/PPAs); prepare client deliverables and presentation materials.

+ **M&A and Capital Markets Analysis** : Conduct financial due diligence, independently develop comparable company analyses, precedent transaction analyses, and accretion/dilution models; support buy-side and sell-side advisory engagements for renewable energy assets and development platforms; assist with capital raise analyses and capital structure optimization.

+ **Market Research and Intelligence** : Conduct comprehensive research on energy markets, M&A activity in the renewable energy sector, capital markets trends, commodity pricing, regulatory developments, and industry dynamics; synthesize findings into actionable insights for internal teams and client presentations.

+ **Client Engagement Support** : Assist in preparing materials for client meetings, pitch presentations, and proposal development; translate complex financial concepts into clear, business-relevant insights for diverse audiences.

+ **Deal Process Management** : Coordinate due diligence processes, manage transaction timelines, and ensure seamless execution across multiple stakeholders; track deliverables and maintain organized documentation throughout engagements.

+ **Cross-Functional Collaboration** : Work closely with business development, technical specialists, and senior advisors to support integrated client solutions; contribute analytical expertise across the team's service offerings.

+ **Continuous Improvement** : Identify opportunities to enhance analytical frameworks, modeling approaches, and process efficiency; contribute to the development of standardized templates and best practices.

    What You’ll Need:

+ Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

+ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.

+ 1-4 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, or corporate finance.

+ Advanced financial modeling skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, data analysis, and scenario modeling.

+ Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and ability to synthesize complex information.

+ Demonstrated experience building financial models and conducting valuation analyses.

+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to present findings clearly and concisely.

+ High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word for creating client-ready deliverables.

+ Interest in or experience with energy markets, renewable energy, or sustainability preferred.

+ Self-directed work style with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

**Location** : New York City, New York

**Travel** : Travel requirement up to 15%
