    This position is on-site in Long Island (Hauppauge, NY).

     

    500 hour engagement to start with likely extensions beyond that.

     

    We are in need of a Security Subject Matter Expert/Technical Specialist in Governance, Risk and Compliance.

    Responsibilities:

    + Creating and updating cybersecurity policy and standards based on NIST framework.

    + Design and implementation of specialized solutions, particularly security or data center technologies.

    + Identifying relevant Suffolk County cybersecurity laws and regulations.

    + Defining risk-based compliance audit process against established cybersecurity policies and standards.

    + Establishment of cybersecurity risk tracking, risk mitigation and risk exception processes.

    Minimum Requirements:

    + 10 years of enterprise experience.

    + Multiple industry and/or vendor certifications.

    + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field. (4 years of additional experience can be substituted for a degree).
