Opportunity Overview
Northramp is seeking a driven Project Manager eager to help build something truly distinctive in the federal consulting space. In this role, you’ll work as part of a collaborative project team delivering both advisory and technical implementation support—managing complex portfolios and projects, coordinating across multiple vendor teams, and ensuring all work aligns with agency requirements, quality standards, and mission needs.
This is a hybrid role that requires working on-site in Washington, DC at least once per week.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with business and technical requirements gathering, workflow automation, and process improvement, along with a solid understanding of IT services and Agile delivery. They should be a strong communicator, an independent problem-solver, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and reviews in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
+ Define and manage a portfolio of projects on behalf of an IT organization in alignment with customer priorities; define and oversee project plans, schedules and related milestones and facilitate project activities.
+ Communicate project expectations and role responsibilities to team members, potentially across vendor teams and client organizations, in a clear and consistent manner.
+ Design and implement standard operating procedures and, where possible, automate processes to support a wide range of operations leveraging available client platforms such as Service Now and O365 platforms.
+ Work with leadership to capture business process requirements and translate them into technical workflow designs, solutions, and artifacts, which may include process wireframes, proofs of concept and technical documentation.
+ Lead efforts to develop business cases, analysis of alternatives and cost/benefit models to address project requirements.
+ Communicate ongoing and ad hoc project statuses with stakeholders, coordinate periodic meetings and briefings to discuss status updates and schedule delays that arise; identify, manage and report on risks and issues that arise as well as strategies to mitigate or resolve each risk/issue, and maintain risk information in a centralized location.
+ Support Agile-based delivery activities and responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:
+ Scrum cadences
+ Epic and user story development and tracking
+ User story blocker analysis and resolution
+ Build and maintain ongoing and trusted relationships with OIT/PMO leadership and agency component and external customer stakeholders
+ Work closely with project teammates to deliver high-quality solutions and promote camaraderie across the team.
+ Adhere to Agile development methodology and can demonstrate and apply scaled Agile framework (SAFe) fundamentals and best practices.
Required Qualifications
+ US Citizenship and ability to successfully pass a Public Trust background check.
+ Bachelor's Degree or higher.
+ 7+ years in a technology support role.
+ Ability to work independently and to be a self-starter and able to operate in a proactive way.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; logical thinker and intellectual curiosity.
+ Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
Desired Qualifications
+ Experience working with Agile project management tools (Jira, ServiceNow, Insight, Confluence).
+ Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile PM certification.
Clearance
Public Trust or equivalent clearance will be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
