As a **Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol** in **El Paso, TX** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine armed patrols, providing a visible presence to help discourage unwanted activity, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. This post also requires driving, so you will be expected to safely operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.

+ Monitor for suspicious activity and report findings according to site procedures.

+ Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders as situations require.

+ Maintain a high level of visibility while on patrol to help to deter potential disturbances or criminal activity.

+ Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Graduation from a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent is required.

+ A college degree is required.

+ Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ A minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience is required.

+ A Corrections Officer License is required.

+ Candidates must present a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an Associate Degree or 60 college credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.

+ A Law Enforcement Officer License is required.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
