Description
We're looking for an experienced marketing leader to define and drive AWS's integrated global marketing strategy for startups. In this role, you'll orchestrate comprehensive marketing strategies that speak directly to startup founders, technical leaders, and the broader startup community. You'll lead a cross-functional team of customer experience, analytics, and program management experts to develop innovative campaigns that showcase how AWS can accelerate startup growth and innovation - from ideation to IPO.
This role may sit in one of the following locations only: Austin, TX, USA | Chicago, IL, USA | New York, NY, USA | Seattle, WA, USA.
Relocation offered to these locations only. This is not a remote or hybrid role.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of AWS's Startup integrated demand strategy, crafting compelling narratives that resonate with the startup community
- Build and manage a cross-functional working group to deliver integrated campaigns
- Partner with digital and creative teams to create breakthrough content and experience that inspire founders
- Work closely with startup leaders to deeply understand their needs and create marketing programs that drive adoption
- Establish measurement frameworks and KPIs to track marketing effectiveness
- Collaborate with field marketing and regional stakeholders to ensure global reach with local relevance
- Drive continuous optimization of campaign performance through structured business reviews and data-driven decision making

About the team
The Integrated Demand Center (IDC) is AWS Marketing's engine for planning, executing, and measuring demand generation at scale. We're transforming how AWS engages with customers through sophisticated digital marketing, content development, and analytics capabilities. Our team combines the agility of a startup with the resources and reach of AWS to deliver marketing programs that drive real business impact.
We embrace builders who bring diverse perspectives, love solving complex problems, and are passionate about helping customers succeed. As part of the IDC, you'll work alongside marketing innovators who are reimagining how AWS connects with customers.
Basic Qualifications
- 9+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working cross-functionally with partner teams to drive adoption and usage of brand assets and messaging
- Experience in strategic marketing management and market analysis and demonstrated ability to build and execute a strategy with clear goals and objectives to align to business and service objectives, and support portfolio objectives

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
