As a **Unarmed Security Guard - Access Control** in **White Plains, NY** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional assigned to an education location, you will be responsible for access control and monitoring entry points, helping to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and deliver outstanding customer service to everyone on site. Your role is vital in supporting a welcoming and secure environment where students, staff, and visitors feel valued. What You'll Do:

+ Monitor and control access to buildings and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized entry on the location.

+ Check identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises, following site-specific procedures and protocols as required.

+ Provide customer service by assisting students, staff, and visitors with inquiries and directing them to appropriate locations.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency and security-related protocols.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around campus buildings and the perimeter to help to deter potential security-related incidents and observe for unusual activity.

+ Document and report all security-related incidents, unusual circumstances, and maintenance needs to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel.

+ Collaborate with campus staff and local law enforcement as needed to support a secure environment for the campus community.

+ Remain visible and approachable to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a positive presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ A valid guard card or license is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
