    Job Title: Construction Project ManagerJob Description

     

    We are seeking a dedicated Construction Project Manager to oversee non-IT projects, including engineering, research and development, financial systems, and product roll-outs. The main function of this role is to plan, direct, and coordinate activities, ensuring successful project completion.

    Responsibilities

    + Coordinate projects by making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.

    + Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients.

    + Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.

    + Analyze technology resource needs and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.

    + Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.

    + Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.

    + Act as owner representative construction project manager, ensuring all contractors and vendors comply with their contracts.

    + Assist with overseeing safety, schedule, and budget.

    Essential Skills

    + Project management and construction project management experience.

    + Experience in project planning and scheduling, particularly managing complex project schedules for construction in the $100M+ range.

    + Technical understanding of MEP systems and commissioning, with 5-10 years supporting construction/building commissioning for datacenter or life science programs.

    + QA/QC and safety management experience, with 5-10 years overseeing construction quality control and safety programs for large-scale projects.

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

    + Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

    + Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.

    + Proficiency in computer software such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.

    + PMI or PMP certification preferred.

    + Ten plus years of construction project management experience, with a strong MEP background in hyperscale construction.

    + Datacenter/MSFT experience is highly valued.

    Work Environment

    This role is based onsite in San Antonio, TX, with a typical work schedule of 40 hours per week. The position involves working closely with contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with contracts and maintaining a focus on safety, schedule, and budget. The work environment is dynamic, requiring adaptability and strong problem-solving skills to ensure project success.

    This is a Contract position based out of San Antonio, TX.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $83.00 - $93.00/hr.
