Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing accounting team in Liberty Lake, Washington. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to key financial processes while supporting a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with established policies.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.

• Handle cash receipts and invoicing while maintaining and updating price books.

• Prepare and post journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts to ensure financial accuracy.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring all tasks are completed on schedule.

• Maintain detailed and accurate financial records in compliance with company policies.

• Support inventory accounting and conduct cost analyses related to manufacturing operations.

• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to ensure proper financial management.

• Generate and review financial reports, identifying and correcting discrepancies as needed.

• Collaborate with the Senior Accountant and Controller on special projects and audit preparations.

• Utilize the company’s accounting system (Infor) for transaction processing and reporting, addressing system issues when necessary.

Requirements • Proven experience in managing journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.

• Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) processes and handling daily cash receipts.

• Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis within a corporate environment.

• Experience with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

• Familiarity with inventory accounting and cost analysis in manufacturing settings.

• Ability to work with accounting systems, preferably Infor or similar platforms.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
