Job Title: Forklift operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Forklift operator with experience in operating band saws, sit-down forklifts, and performing visual quality control. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced aerospace environment, with a strong focus on precision and safety.

Responsibilities

+ Operate band saws for cutting steel materials.

+ Safely operate a sit-down forklift.

+ Read and interpret tape measures accurately.

+ Perform visual quality control checks.

+ Apply metal to customer orders and process materials according to work order specifications.

+ Maintain processing equipment and area in a clean and safe condition.

+ Accurately complete all required information entries.

+ Learn to operate aluminum saws ranging from 4'-20' long cuts, handling material from .019 to 10".

+ Work collaboratively with an experienced trainer/operator for the first week.

Essential Skills

+ Previous experience with band saws and steel cutting.

+ Experience operating a sit-down forklift.

+ Ability to read a tape measure.

+ Strong attention to detail.

+ Comfortable working on feet and handling paperwork.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in metal fabrication and aerospace industry.

+ Strong attendance and work history.

+ Ability to maintain chain of custody documentation.

Work Environment

This position is located in a large raw material supplier facility where materials are stored, cut, and shipped to customers. The environment is fast-paced with over 60 employees on the floor. Our facility is situated in Auburn, WA, with main and titanium buildings. Shift options include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, with shift differentials offered once full-time employment is secured. Attire is comfortable and suitable for a warehouse setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.25 - $24.25/hr.
