    Job Title: Logistics AdministratorJob Description

     

    We are seeking a skilled Logistics Administrator to manage and coordinate the logistics of international and domestic shipments. This role involves ensuring timely delivery and compliance with regulatory requirements, while closely collaborating with carriers, customer service, and other internal teams to optimize shipping processes and solve complex logistical challenges.

    Responsibilities

    + Monitor the shipment of products to domestic and international customers, ensuring adherence to agreed Incoterms.

    + Prepare and review documents for international shipments, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.

    + Collaborate with freight forwarders, carriers, and other logistics service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.

    + Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints related to logistics and delivery.

    + Maintain up-to-date knowledge of export regulations and industry best practices.

    + Ensure all shipments comply with international trade regulations.

    + Coordinate the company's Expedited Shipment Approval process.

    + Perform freight cost analyses, make recommendations, and implement improvements regarding the optimization of carriers, consolidation, packaging methods, etc.

    + Monitor carrier performance and resolve any issues related to delays, damages, or discrepancies.

    + Work with carriers to achieve high levels of service, resolve issues, and establish procedures to ensure the smooth flow of goods and high levels of communication.

    + Gather performance metrics on a regular cadence to report carrier KPIs to the supply chain and logistics management.

    + Collaborate with sales and customer service to align logistics with customer and business needs.

    + Create a repository of procedures and standard work for all activities required to perform tasks assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + 2-5 years of experience in an international and/or domestic logistics-related role.

    + Strong logistics and supply chain knowledge.

    + Proficiency in Excel.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Logistics or Supply Chain related certification is preferred.

    + Experience with FTL (Full Truckload) and LTL (Less Than Truckload) transportation.

    + Experience with SAP is preferred.

    Work Environment

    The role is based in an office environment but requires occasional visits to warehouse/shipping bays as needed. The company fosters a supportive culture and provides great benefits.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
