Join a dynamic and fast-paced team as a Deductions Analyst, specializing in dispute resolution for Big Box Retailers. You will play a crucial role in determining the reasons and statuses of open disputed transactions, collaborating with various internal departments to resolve these disputes and enhance processes.
Responsibilities
+ Determine the reason and status of open disputed transactions.
+ Research and coordinate with internal departments such as Warranty and Returns to resolve disputed items.
+ Work with customers to obtain the proper documentation needed to resolve and/or collect disputed items.
+ Identify trends, patterns, and concentrations of short payments and collaborate with appropriate departments to address root causes.
+ Champion process change improvements relating to short payment process flows in both credit and other departments.
+ Create and document processes and procedures relating to deductions and short payments for customers.
+ Identify deductions and short pays taken on customer accounts during the cash application process and document reasons.
+ Initiate contact with customers, by phone or in writing, to determine the reason for deductions or short pays.
+ Log, investigate, and use judgment to assign follow-up responsibility for resolving deductions to the appropriate party.
+ Ensure correct entries are posted as required.
+ Maintain proper storage of paper or electronic check copies and computerized listings of accounts receivable.
+ Address and respond to customer inquiries regarding chargebacks as appropriate.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in deduction, accounts receivable, chargeback, cash application, and credit.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
+ 1+ year of experience in AR/Cash Application/Deduction/Disputes/Credit.
+ Experience with Oracle or SAP is a plus.
+ Willingness to learn Oracle and Excel (including pivot tables and vlookups).
Work Environment
This role is based 100% in-office at the corporate office in Rogers, with another large HQ in Minneapolis. You will work closely with a supportive team and a vested Credit Manager, with flexible first shift hours. While primarily in-office, there is flexibility for appointments and occasional remote work as needed. The work environment is equipped with Oracle and Excel for daily tasks, and there may be future system upgrades.

This is a Contract position based out of Rogers, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
