    Job Description

    We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a dynamic accounting team. This position plays a key role in supporting financial operations and ensuring accurate reporting across multiple business units. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical abilities, and a proactive approach to process improvement.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist with monthly financial close processes for multiple entities, completing tasks independently and accurately.

    + Support daily operations within the accounting function.

    + Prepare and post journal entries and complete assigned month-end closing tasks.

    + Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate ledgers.

    + Analyze financial data, including job costing, prepayments, and variance analysis.

    + Compile and reconcile bank activity with the company’s ERP system.

    + Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules across all entities.

    + Provide audit support by preparing schedules and collaborating with external auditors.

    + Partner with team members on process automation initiatives related to accounts payable, reporting, and metrics tracking.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

    + 3–5 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role.

    + Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

    + Knowledge of GAAP and internal control principles.

    + Excellent analytical and technical accounting skills.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred.

    + Effective written and verbal communication skills.

    + Commitment to continuous improvement and process optimization.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Kansas City, MO.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $75000.00/yr.

     

    Bonus structure - 9% annually and paid out at 1% each Quarter Q1-4 and then the additional 5% at YE.Full benefits package and 5 different package structures to choose from + HSA Contribution Unlimited PTO3% 401k match on 6% contribution
