Payroll Analyst
(Part-Time Hours Some Weeks)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Analyst to join our team. This role involves managing payroll processes and timesheets for a large employee population, ensuring compliance with government regulations, and supporting internal audits. This temporary position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on precision and efficiency.
Responsibilities
+ Administer semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll cycles for approximately 2,000 employees.
+ Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions, including regular pay, bonuses, and corrections.
+ Manage and audit employee timesheets using Costpoint (Time & Expense and Timesheets modules).
+ Perform frequent timesheet corrections and resolve discrepancies in compliance with company and government policies.
+ Utilize Costpoint extensively for payroll and timekeeping functions.
+ Leverage UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) as a supplementary tool for workforce management (preferred but not required).
+ Use Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs) to analyze payroll data, generate reports, and support audits.
+ Maintain accurate records and documentation for internal and external compliance reviews.
+ Ensure payroll practices align with government contracting regulations, particularly DoD standards.
+ Support internal audits and respond to inquiries from finance, HR, and external agencies.
Essential Skills
+ 3+ years of payroll experience in a GovCon environment (DoD preferred).
+ Strong proficiency in Costpoint and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
+ Experience managing payroll for large employee populations (1,500–2,500).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Familiarity with UKG or similar HRIS/payroll systems is a plus.
+ Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role with one day onsite. The team consists of three other payroll analysts/specialists, and you will report to the Director of Payroll. The work environment is collaborative and fast-paced, offering a great opportunity for professional growth.
32-40 hours per week in December, 40 hours per week in January, 24-40 hours in February (Someone is out on FMLA)
Open-ended contract till February, potential for extension, potential to go perm.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $48.08/hr.
