Job Title: Capital Project ManagerJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated Capital Project Manager to oversee and coordinate capital projects and financial management for plant fund accounts. This role involves managing project numbers, tracking expenses, and ensuring proper coding for all projects. The position requires collaboration with campus presidents and the Facilities and Planning department to ensure successful completion and reporting of capital improvement projects.
Responsibilities
+ Maintain project numbers and track all expenses for projects.
+ Verify proper coding of projects and monitor plant fund account expenses.
+ Process and verify plant fund budget transfers and reallocations.
+ Coordinate with campus presidents on capital improvement fund items and projects.
+ Approve and track expenses for capital improvement fund projects and purchases.
+ Close out capital improvement projects and purchases at year-end.
+ Complete monthly reporting, including state reporting if applicable.
+ Monitor plant fund budgets and meet monthly with Facilities and Planning department and CFO.
+ Create annual plant fund budgets and manage business assets and expenses.
+ Conduct ad-hoc reporting and manage depreciation schedules.
+ Provide audit documentation and approve requisitions for projects and business assets.
+ Reconcile plant fund accounts and research transactions and accounts as needed.
+ Prepare year-end reporting.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in capital asset and capital project management.
+ Strong accounting skills, including general ledger and month-end processes.
+ Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
+ Experience with managing capital projects and assets.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience working with Facilities and Construction is preferred.
+ Management experience preferred but not required, as the role involves managing one person.
+ A desire for career growth and development.
Work Environment
The role is based on-site at an office located in Tampa, FL. The position offers an opportunity for growth and a contract-to-hire opening, initially working 37.5 hours with a potential transition to a salaried position once permanent.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.49 - $32.49/hr.
