    Job Title: Staff Accountant IIJob Description

     

    Join our finance team as a Staff Accountant II, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting the finance department's operations and management. You will report directly to the Assistant Controller and contribute to the financial health of our organization.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform bank reconciliations.

    + Prepare and file sales and use tax returns.

    + Conduct monthly reconciliation of company’s sales by state.

    + Manage account reconciliations.

    + Oversee daily service capitalization.

    + Maintain business forecasts.

    + Assist in month-end close activities, including journal entries.

    + Maintain fixed assets records.

    + Manage the company’s credit card process.

    + Support fiscal year-end close.

    + Act as a backup for accounts payable.

    + File year-end 1099’s and manage W9’s.

    + Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in reconciliation processes.

    + Experience with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

    + Knowledge of accounts payable and fixed assets management.

    + Understanding of general ledger and journal entries.

    + Familiarity with financial statements, financial reporting, and GAAP.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.

    + Strong attention to detail.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + Effective time management abilities.

    + Self-motivated and proactive approach.

    + Problem-solving skills.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Knowledge of Power BI.

    Work Environment

    This is a Permanent position based out of East Longmeadow, MA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/yr.

     

    Will be provided by client once an offer is extended.

     

    Workplace Type

     

    This is a fully onsite position in East Longmeadow,MA.
