THE POSITION

Join the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as a Roadway Programs Technician 2 in Elk County. In this role, you will will assist the Roadway Programs Coordinator (RPC) in budgeting, planning, and analyzing of data for the review of maintenance activities, programs, and costs. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this essential role, you will serve as the County Reimbursable Accident Reports (RAR) Coordinator. Work involves inspecting damage to state property, deciding what repairs will be needed and inputting the information into the Plant Maintenance system to process invoices. This position utilizes M213 reports in Business Warehouse and related Plant Maintenance screens to assist the RPC with tracking progress and data accuracy of the County's Surface Improvement Program (SIP) and Business Plan Mileage goals. You can expect to update plant maintenance notifications related to these activities as needed. You will have the opportunity to serve as the County Tort Coordinator which involves coordinating accident claims, obtaining information, and providing local data to assess claims that occurred within the county. Additionally, you will gather data for county compliance with various measures of efficiency and effectiveness to include County Maintenance Measurements Tools (CMMT) and Dashboards. Coordinating purchasing and storeroom activities for the County Maintenance Organization will be included in your duties.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment
+ Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
+ Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ One year as a Roadway Programs Technician 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
+ One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment, and an Associate's Degree in the field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or closely related program;or
+ Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
