    The Supply Chain Business Intelligence Analyst is a key driver behind the continued growth and success of Michaels supply chain network.

     

    The Supply Chain BI Analyst assists the Manager of Supply Chain BI in developing end-to-end supply chain visibility including freight tracking, supply chain performance, and trends. The Supply Chain BI Analyst will support the supply chain planning and forecasting team as well as all supply chain and other functional partners. The Supply Chain BI Analyst is primarily responsible for improving processes, generating weekly reports, and optimizing SQL queries.

     

    The Supply Chain BI Analyst must have proven competency in data mining, problem solving, and proactive thinking. The candidate will have a take-charge mindset, a willingness to learn, and intellectual curiosity.

    Supply Chain Reporting:

    + Responsible for data discovery and turning raw data into logical information for recurring and ad-hoc reports.

    + Assist with the design and development of interactive dashboards and reports.

    + Partner with functional leaders to support key business processes, decisions, and planning.

    + Perform quantitative analysis on a wide range of supply chain subject areas to identify insights, influence future tool development, and support decision making.

    Process Optimization:

    + Collect and process business data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities that improve performance and develop scalable analytical solutions.

    + Drive operational productivity through collaboration with current stakeholders by creating more efficient and scalable processes.

    + Diagnose process gaps along with root-cause analysis and use data to make fact-based decisions for process improvements.

    + Use technical expertise to support new process design and report automation.

    Collaboration & Communication:

    + Provide on-demand support to users needing help navigating reporting systems.

    + Work with analytical and reporting partners across the company to establish best practices and consistent approaches to BI and reporting.

    + Conduct demos and training to gain tool adoption and build user skills and interest.

     

    Other duties as assigned

    Preferred Experience:

    + 2+ years experience using Power BI & SQL

    + Google Big Query experience is preferred but not required

    + 2+ years experience working supporting Retail, Distribution Centers or Transportation Industries
