About the Role
Bridger Aerospace is seeking an Aircraft Logs & Records Technician to maintain logbooks for our fleet of aircraft. The Aircraft Logs & Records Technicians are responsible for helping maintain aircraft compliance by tracking the aircraft maintenance program, which is done by and large through maintenance tracking software. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, scheduling all aircraft maintenance, building work orders, entering flight data, sending maintenance forecasts and aircraft availability reports, tracking aircraft part movement, managing aircraft registrations, and keeping physical logbooks up to date. Logs and Records is heavily relied upon for getting aircraft on contract by presenting federal and state agencies with all aircraft records to show compliance for the upcoming fire season. This department works closely with the maintenance team, pilots, inventory, and the planning department. As the company expands, this department is constantly working to solve issues that arise and improve upon cross-departmental processes and procedures at hand. This position is based at Bridger Aerospace HQ in Belgrade, MT and is full-time.
What You'll Do:
+ Ensure all aircraft data is recorded and maintained in compliance with FAA regulations and company policies and procedures.
+ Perform periodic and scheduled record audits for completeness and accuracy.
+ Responsible for the management and sustainment of all aircraft logbooks, aircraft maintenance files, records and reports, directives and correspondence in an aircraft maintenance and operations environment.
+ Monitor engine trend data.
+ Utilize maintenance tracking software to maintain aircraft forms and records as required.
+ Maintain historical data, records, individual files and logbooks pertinent to our aircraft.
+ Work closely with Aircraft Maintenance Planning department and Inventory Supply department to ensure maintenance item tracking is accurate, paperwork is correctly processed for installed parts, warranty and reliability claims, historical records and other data retention as needed.
+ Track, update, and file aircraft technician and pilot training records within the learning management system.
+ Confirm training records are accurate and up to date with the latest training requirements.
+ Screen completed maintenance tasks and work orders for accuracy and update aircraft configuration as needed.
+ Verify OEM maintenance requirements are properly tracked in the maintenance tracking software and OEM documentation is appropriately filed for historical records.
What We're Looking For:
+ Experience within the Aviation industry preferred but not required
+ FAA A&P License preferred but not required
+ Working knowledge of FAR's applicable to aircraft maintenance record keeping preferred but not required
+ Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, Smartsheet
+ Heavy attention to detail, highly organized
+ Ability to learn aircraft logbooks, maintenance records, maintenance & technical manuals, publications and forms
+ Excellent oral and written communication
+ Must be able to organize and meet deadlines
+ Ability to quickly adapt to changing assignments
+ Logical and analytical thinking
+ Willing to work overtime as needed; possibly will need to work some nights/weekends, especially during the fire season
+ Technologically savvy – computers, mobile devices and software
+ Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
+ Must be a self-motivated individual with excellent critical thinking skills, strong initiative, and close attention to detail. Team orientated
+ Experience or an avid interest in aviation
+ Knowledge of the Federal Aviation Regulations preferred
+ Flexible and dependable with availability to work weekends, nights, days, and holidays
+ Arc GIS experience preferred
