    Reports to: Vice President, Talent Acquisition and Management

    Position Summary

    FirstEnergy is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Onboarding Program Manager to design, implement, and manage a best-in-class onboarding experience for all new hires, including a tailored executive onboarding program. This role will also oversee the relocation process in partnership with our external vendor, ensuring a seamless transition for new employees. As a program builder, this role is critical to shaping the first impression of FirstEnergy and driving long-term employee success, engagement, and retention.

    Responsibilities include

    Program Design & Execution

    + Build and launch a scalable onboarding program for all new hires, including executive-level onboarding.

    + Develop onboarding materials, communications, and schedules that reflect FirstEnergy’s culture, values, and strategic priorities.

    + Partner with HR, IT, Facilities, and business leaders to ensure a seamless onboarding experience across functions and locations.

    Executive Onboarding

    + Design and manage a high-touch onboarding experience for executive hires, including stakeholder engagement, onboarding plans, and feedback loops.

    + Coordinate with senior leaders and HRBPs to ensure alignment with leadership expectations and business goals.

    Relocation Program Oversight

    + **Serve as the primary point of contact for relocation support, partnering with** FirstEnergy’s relocation vendor to manage logistics, policy interpretation, and issue resolution.

    + Ensure compliance with relocation policies and deliver a positive experience for relocating employees.

    Continuous Improvement & Analytics

    + Collect and analyze feedback from new hires and stakeholders to refine onboarding processes.

    + Monitor onboarding metrics and recommend improvements to enhance engagement, retention, and time-to-productivity.

    + Maintain documentation and reporting for program performance and compliance.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    + Work closely with Talent Acquisition, HRIS, Total Rewards, and Communications to ensure onboarding is integrated with other talent processes.

    + Support onboarding-related communications and branding efforts in partnership with internal teams.

    Qualifications include

    + Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or related field.

    + 5+ years of experience in onboarding, recruiting operations, or HR program management.

    + Experience designing and implementing onboarding programs in a corporate or operational environment.

    + Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

    + Familiarity with relocation policies and vendor management preferred.

    + Experience with Oracle HCM or similar HR systems is a plus.
