Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Java Developer to join a financial services and insurance client in the Des Moines area. This individual will be supporting a legacy insurance system through backend development in Java as a part of the corporate initiatives and enhancements effort. This individual will be compensated at a rate starting at $60/HR

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of experience Java 8 for policy admin system, Java 17 for the API modernization team

Experience with SQL Server Database - understanding relational databases

Unit testing experience

Experience with BitBucket/Bamboo

Experience working in an Agile Environment

Ability to communicate with onshore and offshore team

Leadership ability—comfortable providing feedback and driving products Experience with JSPs - Javascript, React for modernization

IntelliJ or another IDE

Insurance/Financial services experience

Understanding of Multithreaded Technologies
