Job Description
BAE Systems, one of the world s largest defense contractors and a Top 10 prime contractor to the Department of Defense, is seeking two senior level Electrical Engineers to provide design, integration, test and maintenance support for military Weapon Systems programs. You will join an engineering team specializing in cutting edge product development that supports complex naval and advanced weapon systems.
We work a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off, and our hybrid approach provides plenty of on-site collaboration and support for new staff onboarding as well as the flexibility for working remotely some days.
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will:
+ Apply wide applications of engineering design and/or analytical theory, principles, and techniques to create, plan, and perform a variety of complex design, development, analysis, experimentation, test, and/or product assurance tasks.
+ Independently conduct specialized technical analyses, solve difficult technical problems and contributes to the development/enhancement of engineering models.
+ Develop programs to enhance, implement, and support assigned technical effort.
+ Conduct technical studies for complex engineering/scientific problems and provide advanced, specialized assistance to project leaders in a variety of tasks including development of product specifications, documents, and/or test procedures.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Typically a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 4 years experience.
+ Proficient use of engineering tools and techniques
+ Demonstrated performance developing deeply embedded, real time electrical control and power systems
+ Experience with both digital and analog circuit design
+ Working knowledge of firmware design and programmable circuits
+ Able to troubleshoot complex electrical circuits
+ Able to communicate and work effectively within a multi-disciple development team of engineers and technicians to provide firmware designs on the overall system design
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Proficient use of complex development and test tools and equipment, and able to understand complex engineering drawings and data
+ Experience using electrical engineering tools, such as MATLAB, PSpice, Labview, Cadence (OrCAD), Mentor Graphics
+ Experience with DC Servo control systems, DSPs, and FPGAs
+ Experience with IR sensors and image recognition
+ Conducts product, prototype or laboratory testing, analyzes and reports test results
+ Applies research to the planning, design, fabrication, and testing of RF systems for use in military products. Compiles and analyzes test data to determine performance and compliance to system performance requirements\#LI-Hybird #LI-JR1
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
