Solar Installer

Compensation: $30-$35 pr/hr

Job Type: Full-Time

NY State Solar sells, designs, and build quality solar systems in New York! Our focus is to provide an outstanding customer experience and deliver a high quality PV system. Dedicated to helping New York become economically and environmentally sustainable.

A Solar Installer will have solar specific experience and complete solar panel installs.

Solar Installer Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Assemble job components;

+ Layout and assembly of solar modules/array and mounting hardware;

+ Mechanical and structural mounting of racking, modules, and electrical equipment;

+ Basic electrical wiring of solar array/system (AC and DC)

+ Ensure proper clean-up of job site

+ Attend training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety;

+ Responsible for following the safe work practices for the installation team; and

+ All other assignments and special projects, as requested by Management.

Qualifications:

+ 3 + year Residential Solar Installation Experience required

+ Must be comfortable with being on roofs with pitched surfaces for extended periods of time, cannot have a fear of heights

+ Ability to lift 50-70 pound ladders, ability to climb ladders/stairs

+ Ability to work in extreme weather (hot and sunny as well as colder temperatures)

+ Clean Driver's license required

+ OSHA 10 required

+ Willing to work Saturdays/ overtime.
