IT Coordinator

Job Summary:
The IT Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of the organization’s technology systems. This position provides hands-on technical support to employees, analyzes and maintains computer networks and hardware, and oversees IT projects from planning to completion. The IT Coordinator manages system performance, monitors cybersecurity compliance, and maintains accurate documentation of IT assets and processes. Acting as a liaison between departments, vendors, and service providers, this role ensures smooth day-to-day IT operations and supports the organization’s broader technology goals.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Technical Support: Serve as the first point of contact for IT-related issues, providing troubleshooting and resolution for hardware, software, and network problems.
+ System Maintenance: Install, configure, test and maintain computer systems, networks, and software to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
+ Inventory and Procurement: Manage IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and supplies; coordinate purchases and liaise with vendors for maintenance and support.
+ Network and Security Management: Monitor system performance, enforce security protocols, manage data backups and restoration, and ensure compliance with IT policies.
+ Project Coordination: Assist in planning and executing IT projects, such as system upgrades or hardware installations, tracking progress and coordinating resources to meet deadlines.
+ Training and Documentation: Develop IT procedures and user guides, conduct training sessions for employees, and document system configurations and IT processes.
+ Liaison Role: Facilitate communication and collaboration between the IT team, other departments, external IT service providers, and vendors to resolve issues efficiently.
Emergent Availability
+ This position requires intermittent availability during weekends, evenings, and early mornings for emergency projects via cell phone and/or laptop. This does not restrict the use of their time off from work and will only be required to report to work when emergency jobs are prevalent.

+ Supports the effort of ISO 9001 and process improvement by recommending methods, equipment, techniques, and other changes to improve company operations. Participates in internal audits, risk assessment, and corrective actions as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
+ Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, an Associate’s degree combined with relevant IT experience may also be considered.
+ 3–5 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or related roles, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting, network management, and IT project coordination.
+ Proficiency in operating systems (Windows O365 and iOS for Apple), network protocols (TCP/IP), cloud services, and cybersecurity best practices.
+ Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
+ Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
+ Understanding of security best practices, data protection, and policy compliance.
+ Experience with installing, configuring, testing and maintaining IT systems and software.
+ Experience managing IT assets, procurement, and vendor relationships.
+ Creating IT procedures, user guides, and conducting employee training.
+ Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
