    **PDS Tech Commercial** is seeking a highly skilled **Software Engineer – Simulation** to support a leading organization within the aerospace industry. This is your opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge training systems that prepare military pilots for real-world missions.

    **Job Title:** Software Engineer – Simulation

    **Job Type:** Full-Time; Consultant (12 Months)

    **Location:** Hazelwood, MO

    **Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 8 AM–4 PM

    **Starting Pay Rate:** $64.20 per hour

     

    Make an Impact Through Advanced Training Technology

     

    In this role, you will support the development and sustainment of next-generation pilot training technologies, including real-time 3D rendering applications, advanced visualization systems, and high-fidelity simulation tools. You will work hands-on in a dynamic Agile environment that values technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous innovation.

     

    You will contribute to the full software lifecycle—requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and integration—helping deliver immersive, reliable, and mission-critical simulation solutions used across a wide spectrum of aircraft platforms.

    What You’ll Do

    • Design, architect, and develop simulation models, virtual environments, and visualization frameworks.

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and refine simulation requirements.

    • Conduct modeling, simulation, testing, and analysis to optimize system performance.

    • Collect, process, validate, and verify data for use in simulations.

    • Execute test procedures and document results against real-world benchmarks.

    • Maintain and document code, algorithms, and simulation specifications.

    • Work with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate software with hardware systems.

    • Implement modern technologies, tools, and frameworks within simulation environments.

    • Modernize and migrate legacy simulation software to updated platforms.

    • Oversee project management tasks within the simulation software domain.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline

    • 10+ years in software engineering

    • 5+ years of experience with C++, C#, C, Rust, or similar languages

    • 5+ years working with Windows and/or Linux environments

    • 5+ years using GitLab or modern IDE tools

    • 5+ years in Agile software development

     

    This position requires a security clearance, and candidates are required to be U.S. Citizens. -

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Knowledge of aircraft systems (weapons, night vision, hydraulics, electronics, flight controls, etc.)

    • Understanding of cloud architectures, containerization, automation, and networking fundamentals

    • Familiarity with specification formats, standards, and change control processes

    • Working knowledge across multiple engineering disciplines

    • Experience deriving, allocating, and tracing requirements throughout the product lifecycle

    • Expertise in designing and testing software models, simulations, frameworks, and APIs

    • Experience with real-time software architecture, networking protocols, and hardware interfaces

    • Strong understanding of build environments, V&V processes, and certification frameworks

    • Ability to design robust software testing processes and use integration testing tools

    • Background in 2D/3D graphics, visual analytics, animated graphics, and image processing

    • Ability to integrate hardware and software in simulation and demonstration environments

    **Pay Details:** $64.20 per hour
