    INTERNATIONAL LOGISTICS PLANNER

    Division and Unit Overview

    Position Summary

    The selected candidate will report to the Helium/InternationalSupervisor. This person will be responsible for entering customer PO's in Avante andTIMS, managing various customer's shipment bookings and loads plans as well asproviding the necessary documents for international shipping. The position isalso responsible for customer invoicing, responding to quotes/RFQ's, exportscreening, managing export licenses, internal and external customer service,commodity classifications and managing import and export documents to complywith US export regulations. This person will need to obtain IATA and IMDGcertifications to perform job functions as well as attend regular EAR99 andexport compliance training. Yearly site audits will be performed at variousMatheson locations that import or export goods.

    Required Skills:

    The selected candidate must be able to work well bothindependently and as part of a group in a fast-paced environment. This person mustpossess excellent communication and analytical skills as well as be computerliterate in MS Word, Excel and Outlook. This person must be able to work Mondaythrough Friday, 10 hour shifts, as well as monitor emails after hours for anyurgent service issues. Some conference calls may be required after hours toaccommodate overseas customers. A college degree and/or previousinternational shipping experience in a related field are preferred, but notrequired. Minimum of 5 years prior logistics experience in thetransportation industry to include scheduling/building loads.
