We are excited to announce an opening for an attorney to lead the team that supports our Labor Relations functions, provides the employment law support for our Last Mile Delivery initiatives, and provides legal support on other employment law initiatives. We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable individual who can bring their expertise to our Labor & Employment Legal team and help us navigate the legal landscape of traditional labor relations, independent contractor and joint employer law, lead the team that provides the employment law support for our independent contractor/gig platform business initiatives, and provide employment law support on other enterprise initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in traditional labor relations law, employment law, and independent contractor and joint employer law. This role requires someone who is adept at delivering legal advice to business partners to empower them to drive business strategy and ensure associate engagement. The position is located on our new state-of-the-art Home Office campus in Bentonville, AR.
What you'll do...
- Supervise a team and provide legal support and guidance on traditional labor law and employment law matters, including employment law support for our independent contractor/gig platform business initiatives, and provide employment law support on other enterprise initiatives. - Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement policies and practices that align with labor and employment legal requirements and business goals. - Stay up-to-date with changes in labor and employment laws and laws and regulations affecting the gig economy and proactively address potential legal issues. **What You’ll Bring:** - Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school - Active license to practice law in at least one state in the United States - Minimum of seven (7) years of legal experience - Minimum of four (4) years of experience leading cross-functional teams - Extensive knowledge and experience in traditional U.S. labor law and employment law - Variety of legal experience (ex. in-house, government, law firm) preferred - Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team _The above information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed in the role. The annual salary range for this position is $195,000.00 - $370,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
