A Typical Day

The Property Preservation Associate is responsible for performing time sensitive loss analyses and monitoring a portfolio of loans with escalated property issues. As the Associate , you will research and gather all needed material from multiple departments and outside company business partners/vendors, with the ability to organize in an efficient manner.

The Property Preservation Associate will :

+ Examine photos of homes and properties to determine the condition and type of repairs required to place the home in conveyance condition by FHA, VA, USDA, FNMA and FHLMC guidelines

+ Analyze repair bids, line item settled insurance claims documents, photos of home damages to make final determination on repairs to perform and cost associated with repairs or if work is necessary

+ Verify completed repairs for quality/workmanship and determine when a Property Preservation vendor is liable for company losses

+ Communicate verbally and via email to relay instructions to vendors, pose questions to determine correct path of repairs, inform managers of progress and update internal systems with concise and clear notes

+ Review bids, photos, inspections on a daily basis to track status of ongoing vendor work on loan in portfolio

+ Answer/Reconcile City Code Violations, Receiverships, Condemnation Orders, Demolition Orders

+ Perform other related duties as required and assigned

+ Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values

What You’ll Bring

+ Ability to review bids, photos, inspections on a daily basis to track status of ongoing vendor work on 100 plus loans in your work queue

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office and G-Suite Workplace

+ Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment

+ Mortgage Servicing industry, Construction or Insurance adjuster experience helpful but not required

+ Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:

+ Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role

+ Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role

+ Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role

Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.
