JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Inspector I will perform inspections of incoming materials, parts, and finished products to ensure all products meet quality standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
+ Inspect in process and finished product as required by established procedures.
+ Accurately document the results of inspection and testing results.
+ Perform careful inspections and enforcements of Quality Standards.
+ Maintain all controlled document files of the inspections and testing results.
+ Document and report product or service quality levels.
+ Communicate with Quality Team Members to solve problems.
+ Maintain records of measuring devices to ensure compliance to standards of QAP, AS9100 and ISO9001.
+ Evaluate problems and make recommendations for possible corrective actions.
+ Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings.
+ Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize work.
+ Follow up with appropriate Team Members/Management when mistakes are discovered.
SKILLS and ABILITIES
+ Good written and verbal communication skills.
+ Knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 management systems.
+ Working knowledge of measurement instruments.
+ AS9102 FAI inspection preferred.
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
+ Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow verbal and written communications.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
+ High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
+ Ability to lift to 20 pounds.
+ Vision and depth perception suitable for use of inspection equipment.
