    Position Summary

    This position is for an experienced and dynamic BI & Development Solution Architect. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of robust data & development solutions that support Edgewell’s key strategic business initiatives. This role requires comprehensive understanding to bridge the gap between complex business needs and foundational technology solutions, focusing on sustainable data, analytics, automation & development. Key functions of this role will include data-centric business process optimization, translation of functional needs into technical requirements, data engineering, change management and a proven ability to lead complex BI projects.

    Accountabilities

    + **Leadership:** Offer project leadership and technical mentorship to junior data engineers and architects, promoting innovation and excellence. Note: this is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.

    + Data Strategy: Work with business users and stakeholders to pinpoint what data is missing, inaccurate, or insufficient (e.g., misaligned process steps, limitation of technology, inconsistent data entry) to meet BI goals.

    + Process Analysis & Re-design: Map the current state business processes to understand where data is created, how it's input, and the specific process failures that lead to poor quality or missing data for downstream BI consumption. Design the future state business processes specifically to enforce data quality at the source. This involves defining mandatory fields, establishing new data entry rules, and introducing new process steps necessary to capture required data elements.

    + Architectural Design: Develop and implement scalable data architecture to support key business intelligence initiatives across various platforms.

    + Data Engineering: Perform data engineering tasks including ETL processes, data pipeline creation, and data warehousing to ensure seamless data flow and integrity.

    + Optimization: Continuously optimize data architecture and processes to improve performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

    + Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including business owners, leadership, data engineers, analysts, and IT counterparts to align solutions with business requirements.

    + Change Enablement: Architect solutions that not only report on data but actively drive and measure the success of business priorities.

    + Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architecture, processes, and integrations to ensure transparency and facilitate knowledge sharing.

    + Organizational Adoption: Ensure final solutions are intuitive and align with the new process workflows to encourage user adoption and maximum business value from the transformation.

    Required Skills and Experience

    + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field -or- minimum of 7 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, and business intelligence in lieu of degree.

    + Technical Skills: Proficiency in Snowflake, Azure, SQL, and PowerBI. Experience with ETL tools, other cloud platforms and big data technologies is a plus.

    + Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle complex data challenges.

    + Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

    + Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience guiding and mentoring technical teams.

    Preferred Skills and Experience

    + Master’s degree in related field.

    + Experience working for a consumer products organization.

    + Highly organized with strong attention to detail, flexible, self-motivated, and able to succeed in a dynamic fast-paced environment.

    + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, ability to articulate in a clear and concise manner across various levels of the organization.

    + Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, effectively manage time and respond to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    + Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and work effectively with team members and various key stakeholders.

    + Sound financial acumen; strong analytical skills and ability to make data driven decisions.

    + Team player with the drive to help assure high quality standards.

    + Ability to influence without direct authority.

    + Commitment to process improvement and optimization (i.e., suggesting alternatives and more effective/efficient ways to work).

    + Detail-oriented with strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    Work Environment

    + Fully remote

    + Travel required between 10% to 20% including international travel. Could be required to travel more frequently during projects.

    + May be required to work outside of standard business hours on a regular basis.

    + Reports directly to the Business Intelligence & Development Director

     

    The salary range for this position is $136,000-204,000 Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
