The Director of Leadership and Organizational Development is responsible for leading and managing the strategic development and implementation of leadership and organizational development initiatives. This role involves designing and executing programs that enhance leadership capabilities, foster organizational effectiveness, and drive business success. The Director will collaborate with senior leadership to align development strategies with organizational goals and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
What You'll Do
+ Execute a comprehensive strategy for leadership and organizational development aligned with Our Cause and business objectives.
+ Partner with executive leadership to identify strategic priorities and create development programs that address leadership gaps and drive organizational growth.
+ Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of leadership development programs, such as new leader programs, high-potential talent development, and others as needed that are tailored to the needs of different leadership levels and support the development of key competencies.
+ Lead initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness, including change management, team development, and culture transformation.
+ Conduct organizational assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and create action plans to address key challenges.
+ Manage the end-to-end process of leadership and organizational development programs, including needs assessment, program design, delivery, and evaluation.
+ Oversee the work of internal and external facilitators, consultants, and vendors to ensure high-quality program delivery.
+ Develop and implement strategies for talent development to ensure a pipeline of future leaders.
+ Collaborate with HR and business leaders to identify and develop high-potential employees and address talent gaps.
+ Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and impact of leadership and organizational development initiatives.
+ Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership on program outcomes, ROI, and areas for improvement.
+ Lead and support organizational change initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and minimizing resistance.
+ Develop and implement communication strategies and change management plans to facilitate smooth transitions.
+ Manage the budget for leadership and organizational development programs, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
+ Monitor expenditures and adjust plans as needed to stay within budget.
+ Lead and mentor a team of organizational development professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
+ Provide guidance and support to team members in their professional development and career growth.
+ Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in leadership and organizational development.
+ Represent the organization at industry events and professional networks to enhance the company’s presence and reputation.
What We're Looking For
+ Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field. Graduate Degree, preferred. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, ODCP) preferred.
+ Licensure/Certification: Certification in leadership assessments (e.g., Hogan, DiSC) highly preferred, preferred.
+ Additional Skills (required):
+ Strategic thinker with the ability to align development initiatives with business objectives.
+ Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with senior leaders and diverse teams.
+ High level of integrity, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity.
+ Strong leader that can inspire and motivate others to achieve results.
+ Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment and drive for results within the organization.
