Who Are We, And What Do We Do?

At **Corteva Agriscience,** you will help us grow what’s next. No matter your role, you will be part of a team that is building the future of agriculture – leading breakthroughs in the innovation and application of science and technology that will better the lives of people all over the world and fuel the progress of humankind.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced **Research Associate** to join our Array Tape team in the Global Genotyping Lab. The ideal candidate is a proactive professional who excels in a high-throughput, team-based environment and is eager to take ownership of their work. As part of a truly global organization, this is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a solid foundation in lab work who wants to develop new skills and grow with a team dedicated to excellence.

**A Dynamic Environment Tied to the Seasons:**  Our work is deeply connected to the rhythm of agriculture. This creates a dynamic annual workflow with predictable seasonal shifts in focus and intensity. We value work-life balance and offer flexibility; in return, we seek a team member who brings their own flexibility and commitment during our busiest times.

+ **Standard Season (December – August):**  Work schedule is typically 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. This period involves steady production work, along with opportunities for process optimization, equipment maintenance, and developmental projects.

+ **Peak Season (September – November):**  Work schedule shifts to Noon – 8:00 PM to meet critical agricultural deadlines. This high-throughput period is essential to our success and requires a focused, "all-hands-on-deck" approach.

**What You’ll Do:** As a Research Associate, you will be a crucial contributor to the lab's operational excellence and success.

+ **Execute Daily Operations:**  Perform complex technical operations using automated instruments in a high-throughput production environment. You will be responsible for moving large batches of samples through time-sensitive processes to meet forecasted monthly throughput.

+ **Take Initiative:**  Proactively identify and address laboratory needs without direct supervision. We are looking for someone who "finds the work" that ensures our lab is always clean, organized, and prepared for future tasks, such as managing consumable inventory and performing preventative maintenance.

+ **Engage with a Global Team:**  Connect and collaborate with colleagues across our global network, with teams located in eight different countries. Interaction is highly encouraged to share best practices, lead optimization efforts, and contribute to international collaboration projects.

+ **Contribute to Quality and Improvement:**  Analyze data sets to identify trends and unexpected results, suggesting and helping to implement corrective actions. You will be responsible for the handling and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and will engage in inclusive discussions with the team to establish standards and best practices where diverse perspectives are welcomed. You will be encouraged to participate in process development projects that improve data quality, efficiency, and safety.

+ **Maintain Equipment and Workflow:**  Perform routine troubleshooting and repair on automated liquid handlers and other laboratory instruments, contributing to the team's overall efficiency.

**What Skills You Need:** We are looking for a mature and reliable professional with a strong sense of ownership.

+ **Education/ Experience:**  A minimum of a high school diploma and 2 years of relevant laboratory experience, preferably in a high-throughput or production environment.

+ **Proactive Mindset:**  You have a demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, anticipate needs, and take initiative with minimal supervision. You don't wait to be told what to do next.

+ **Technical Expertise:**  Proven experience with laboratory automation is required, and a strong aptitude for troubleshooting scientific instruments is highly valued. Familiarity with PCR is beneficial, but this is a skill that can be developed on the job.

+ **Collaborative Spirit:**  You are an excellent communicator and a strong team player who thrives in a collaborative setting, enjoys sharing knowledge to solve problems, and is interested in working with international teams.

+ **Detail-Oriented and Resilient:**  You maintaina high level of attention to detail and focus while performing complex, and sometimes repetitive, tasks. You are adaptable and thrive in a dynamic work environment.

**What We Offer:** We are committed to being an excellent employer and building an outstanding workforce. We invest in our people and are dedicated to your professional development.

+ **Growth in Your Role:**  This position is focused on your growth and mastery of the responsibilities. We are committed to helping you build deep expertise and become a key contributor to the team. For dedicated individuals who excel and demonstrate initiative, this role can serve as a strong foundation for future career opportunities within the organization.

+ **Skill Development:**  We support your professional journey by providing opportunities to develop new skills, both related and unrelated to your immediate role, through training, workshops, and on-the-job learning.

+ **A Culture of Excellence:**  Be part of a team that values innovation, proactive problem-solving, and continuous improvement, where your contributions have a direct impact on our success.
