Job Description
The mission of Testing Services is to provide comprehensive testing services for students, faculty, staff, and the community in a professional, secure, and accessible environment to assist students in achieving their academic and/or professional goals.
The Testing Specialist exists to assist with the coordination of testing services and administer multiple types of tests and assessments to students at Anoka-Ramsey Community College. This includes placement testing, instructor-arranged testing, testing accommodation for students with disabilities, Nursing Admission testing (e.g. TEAS, HSRT), proctoring exams for other institutions, collaboration with high school programs, local businesses, and any special testing needed by the Academic Affairs and/or Student Affairs departments of the college. This position provides administrative assistance and completes special projects for the Director of Academic & Support Services.
This position will work on-site every day and will have a home campus of Cambridge but may travel to the Rapids Campus if needed.
Salary Range:
$20.76- $27.53/hour
Minimum Qualifications
+ Communication skills to effectively interpret and explain testing processes, procedures and score reports to a variety of constituents in a clear, concise, and professional manner
+ Customer service skills to provide prompt, courteous and accurate information regarding the testing center to customers in person, on the phone, and through e-mail, and to schedule and confirm customers’ appointments.
+ Word Processing skills to produce forms, memoranda and other materials that are grammatically correct using Microsoft Word or equivalent software.
+ Spreadsheet skills to develop and modify electronic spreadsheets and to compile, store, and retrieve data to prepare a variety of reports using software such as Microsoft Excel.
+ Data entry skills to input data quickly and accurately.
Preferred Qualification
+ Ability to ensure quality standards, deadlines and proper procedures are followed.
+ Ability to analyze, make recommendations and develop new or revised administrative and program practices and procedures for smooth and efficient office operation.
+ Knowledge of testing and assessment functions, policies, procedures, and processes.
+ Knowledge of educational policies, and/or state and federal laws and regulations related to Admissions, Placement and/or accommodations for disabilities.
+ Commitment to working with and fostering an inclusive environment for a diverse population of individuals.
