Overview

We are seeking a highly-motivated intern to join our Geotechnical Engineering Discipline in our Mays Landing, NJ office.

Responsibilities

+ Our interns will assist technical staff on day-to-day projects.

+ Read and review project drawings and plans.

+ Use Geosystems and ArcGIS Pro software under the direction of Engineers.

+ Observe project sites and evaluate contractors’ work to detect problems with a design.

+ Prepare reports and document project activities and data.

+ Prepare analyses from collected data.

+ Set up and help maintain project files and records.

+ In addition to the work-centered program, we also offer robust internship programming, which includes opportunities to work with other interns, learn about other areas of the business, and develop valuable communication skills and networking connections.

Qualifications

+ Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geology, Geosciences, or a related field.

+ Interest in Geotechnical Engineering.

+ Must have reliable transportation to the office and project sites.

+ Basic understanding of ArcGIS or AutoCAD preferred.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Possess solid problem-solving skills.

+ Must be able to work in a high-paced environment.

+ Strong computer literacy, to include MS Office.

+ Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Compensation: $16.00 -$20.00 per hour (depending on qualifications)

Additional networking and trainings specific to the students' areas of study are also made available to students throughout the Summer Internship program.

Our internship program is designed to help grow our organization organically with talented individuals starting their careers all over the country. On average, we make full-time, permanent offers to students approaching graduation within a year more than 50% of the time.
